UHE FOUNDATION MANIFESTO / 1995
The establishment of the swimming pool business in Turkey began in the 70’s and developed rapidly during the 80’s according to the growth of tourism and environmental problems, such as sea pollution.
As owners of companies working in areas like swimming pool, fountain, whirlpool, sauna and spa, we decided to establish an organization about this young and promising business in order to have a stronger position in the future economy of Turkey.
The first step to establish UHE was a meeting on 26.01.1995 with the theme “The problems of our sector” and after a dynamic preparation period on 20.04.1995, the official application to state authorities for UHE has done with signatures of 19 co-founder companies.
Our goal is to support the development of swimming pool and spa business in Turkey and protect the rights of the manufacturers, contractors and the customers.
We believe that UHE will be an importing and leading institution in this area and will make its partners proud.
ABOUT UHE TODAY / 2011
UHE celebrates its 16th anniversary, now with more than 100 member companies and growing. UHE published countless technical documentation, books, guidelines since 1995, including UHE 1 and UHE 2, which created the main source for the Turkish Standard for public and private pools. UHE organized and participated in many trade-fares and conferences. In the last years, UHE organizes a seminar called “Pool Operator Seminar” in order to educate the personnel responsible for public swimming pools.
Considering its rapid growth and strong experience and know-how in this area, the current and most important goal of UHE is to complete its evolution and become an officially legitimatized chamber of profession.
